Director of Marketing & Promotion

The Times Square Alliance seeks a collaborative and creative Director of Marketing to coordinate and oversee efforts to promote both Times Square generally and Alliance programs and assets specifically to various constituencies.  Working with the President, the Director of Communication, the Director of Times Square Arts, the Vice President for Events & Programming and the Vice President for Policy Planning and Research, the Director of Marketing will be a senior strategist and content curator for promoting Times Square and Alliance programs to Times Square residents and workers; entities and audiences in the arts, design and creative fields; regular tri-state theater goers, New Yorkers who without a strong affinity for Times Square, commercial office and retail brokers, and potential Times Square businesses, among others.  The Director will work to make sure brand considerations are consistent across platforms and programs, and will propose and analyze effective marketing, promotion, branding, attraction and retention tactics.

Excellent writing skills and graphic sensibilities are critical to this role and are required.

Preference for those with experience in or exposure to the commercial sector, but relevant experience in the non-profit sector acceptable.  MBA preferred but not required.  Experience with developing promotional partnerships and segmented online marketing beneficial.

Salary commensurate with experience.
