The Times Square Alliance seeks a very-well organized individual with exceptional writing, speaking and digital content-creation capabilities to generate original digital content highlighting and celebrating Times Square's distinctive human, architectural, cultural and historical assets.

The Times Square Alliance's Communications team manages the message for large scale civic events including New Year's Eve and Solstice in Times Square as well as major public art projects produced by Times Square Arts. The Communications team manages the official website for Times Square and all official social media handles that promote the district, its businesses, and all major happenings.

The Digital Content Associate will work closely with the Communications team to coordinate and execute a strategy of creating regular digital content; producing, shooting, and editing new video content; working with consultants to produce new content; designing and creating digital assets for social media posts; researching and pitching new content ideas to the Communications team; deploying approved content via our digital channels; and analyzing their success. This position will spend a fair amount of time "in the field" and "on the ground" in Times Square to capture this content.

The Digital Content Associate reports primarily to the Digital Content Manager but is also accountable to the Director of Communications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for researching and pitching new digital content ideas 
  • Responsible for executing approved ideas: planning logistics, organizing outreach and communication with talent/partners, and staying on top of deadlines
  • Responsible for producing, editing, and distributing video content across multiple platforms
  • Responsible for logging, organizing, and sharing digital assets with both internal and external parties
  • Supporting the Communications team in designing graphics for social media posts
  • Supporting the Digital Content Manager and the Communications Director on analyzing data and reporting out on content after it has been published
