The Times Square Alliance seeks a very-well organized individual with exceptional writing, speaking and marketing experience to create strategies and content to market and promote Alliance events and programming, Times Square stakeholders, and Times Square itself.

The Times Square Alliance’s Communications team manages the message for large scale civic events including New Year’s Eve and Solstice in Times Square as well as major public art projects produced by Times Square Arts.  The Communications team manages the official website for Times Square and all official social media handles that promote the district, its businesses, and all major happenings.

The Digital Content and Marketing Manager will work closely with the Communications team to manage and execute marketing strategies for the neighborhood and promote what makes it distinctive and celebrate what is hidden in plain sight.  The Digital Content and Marketing Manager will work with the Digital Content Associate to produce, shoot, and edit new video content; work with consultants to produce new content; design and create digital assets for social media posts; research and pitch new content ideas to the Communications team; deploy approved content via our digital channels; analyze their success; plan and execute campaigns; handle paid social media and other marketing strategies; and be a contact for agencies, consultants, sponsors, and partners. 

The Digital Content and Marketing Manager works with the Communications team and the Digital Content Associate to create original digital content for the Alliance channels.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Creating and executing marketing strategies to promote and celebrate what is distinctive about Times Square 
  • Researching and pitching new digital content ideas  
  • Executing approved ideas: planning logistics, organizing outreach and communication with talent/partners, and staying on top of deadlines
  • Producing, editing, and distributing video content across multiple platforms
  • Logging, organizing, and sharing digital assets with both internal and external parties
  • Supporting the Communications team in designing graphics for social media posts
  • Managing the Digital Content Associate
  • Working with the Digital Content Associate to analyze data and reporting out on content after it has been published

  • Keen interest in and knowledge of social media platforms and other communications tools
  • Passion for storytelling and/or news reporting using digital media
  • Detail orientation and deadline sensitivity
  • Strong creativity and critical thinking skills
  • Personal enthusiasm and individual initiative
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Basic design skills and a good eye for visuals
  • Basic video editing, photo editing, and design skills
